Bahamas Competition - Winners!

We are delighted and excited to announce the 16 wiiners of the Bahamas competition run in September last year in conjunction with The Bahamas Tourist Office.
All 16 winners receive a Tia wedding dress of their dreams. Beautiful and lightweight - perfect for those brides jetting away somewhere warm for their special day.

Natalie Anderson is best dressed at the British Soap Awards in Love by Enzoani  - May 2011

In the most important night of the year in the soap opera world, the British Soap Awards took place in Manchester on Monday May 16th.
Dubbed as the soap world’s equivalent to the Oscars, the glitzy ceremony is the perfect opportunity for the stars to flaunt their figures and make a fabulous fashion statement.
We were very excited to see that Emmerdale actress Natalie Anderson who plays Alicia Gallagher, opted to wear a Love by Enzoani gown to the event!

Love by Enzoani gown for auction at Charity Ball - June 2011

We'll be donating a Love by Enzoani gown to be auctioned off at a glittering charity ball to raise money for breast cancer, in aid of Cancer Research UK.
Around 46,000 women a year are being diagnosed with Breast Cancer. The aim of Cancer Research UK is to save lives. More people are beating cancer than ever before thanks to their work & the support they receive.
The event, is being organised by Create Your Day, and will be held on Saturday 25th June 2011 at Cardiff City Stadium.
The evening will include a 4 course meal, raffle and Silent auction, where Love by Enzoani dressA31 will be sold.
As well as donating the dress to the cause, the team at Benjamin Roberts have rallied together to raise more funds by holding a raffle to win 2 tickets to the fabulous event!
The evening will start at 6.30pm when guests will greeted by Darren Stephens on the Saxophone, and Bethan Myfanwy Hughes on the harp.
Entertainment will be conjured up by 2 magicians during pre-dinner drinks, followed by an evening of entertainment including a performance by Bethan Myfanwy Hughes, a Tribute act by Richie Jones and an outstanding performance from the "Hussy Diva" Show girls.

Save the Children Week - April 2011

To celebrate Save the Children's week, the charity has decided to transform six of their stores into "reduced price designer wedding boutiques" during the week of the Royal Wedding! Theses stores, two of which will include TV retail guru Mary Portas' hugely popular Living & Giving stores in London & Edinburgh, will be offering brides-to-be the chance to be married in a designer frock for a fraction of the price and will commence on the 27th April!
Benjamin Roberts are thrilled to donate a gown to be sold to raise some vital funds for the "No Child Born to Die" campaign which launched on the 24th January 2011.

Benjamin Roberts style 2027 will be on sale at the Cardiff store, so brides-to-be make sure you visit the store for your chance to have your own royal wedding without the royal price tag while helping raising such vital funds for those in most need.

Louisa Lytton wears Love by Enzoani to charity event - March 2011

Actress Louisa Lytton wore Love by Enzoani gown D34, which is from the 2012 preview collection, to the Children's Champion's Awards at London's Grosvenor House Hotel on 30th March 2011. The awards paid homage to some of the UK's unsung heroes, recognising the work they do and the difference they make to children's lives. 
The event also received a huge amount of press coverage in which Louisa was pictured looking fabulous in her love by Enzoani dress. Media features included in Look Magazine, HolyMoly,  Ok! Magazine and the Metro.
Other guests who attended the event included Davina McCall, Gemma Merna, Jorgie Porter, Rio Ferdinand, James Corden, Stacey Solomon, Peter Andre, Gary Lineker, Emma Bunton and Olympic supremo Lord Seb Coe.

We recently teamed up with Wedding Ideas Magazine to bring one lucky bride-to-be the prize of a lifetime - a gorgeous Tia by Benjamin Roberts Wedding gown! Classic FM Live - March 2011

Classic FM Live is an annual event that is held at the Royal Albert Hall in aid of the Classic FM Foundation, Classic FM's official charity. Margherita Taylor, a well known British broadcaster who is currently a radio presenter for Capitol & Classic FM, is also known through her work on Channel 4's morning TV show T4 alongside Dermot O\'Leary featured at the event wearing a love by Enzoani gown, C37.

              

Bafta Award ceremonies - March 2011

Love by Enzoani gowns have been worn by celebrities at the Bafta film & gaming awards this year.
This year's celebration of the very best in film took place on Sunday 13th February at the Royal Opera House in London's Covent Garden, where E! Entertainment TV presenter Sam Mann, wore love style B12 to cover the event live from the red carpet along with co-host Steve Jones.
The Bafta video game awards, held on the 16th March, saw actress and model Gemma Atkinson wear love style C1, to present the award for the Best Game of 2011.

                   

Zaraah Abrahams wears love by Enzoani to ball - March 2011

The Princes Trust annual spring ball was held on March 3rd in a glittering event at the Hurlingham Club in south London in order to raise money to help young disadvantaged people into the world of work! The ball was swarming with celebrities who all came together to help raise vital funds for the cause, including Zoe Salmon, Jenni Falconer, Louisa Lytton & Emma Willis.
Waterloo Road actress Zaraah Abrahams, attended the event wearing love style A11. The star was also later pictured in the Mail Online who covered the event, saying "...Zaraah Abrahams chose an elegant strapless gown for the party..."
Love must be in the air for Zaraah, as she later stated in an interview with "Pride" magazine that Enzoani is one of her favourite designers alongside Marc Jacobs & Chloe!

              
 
 

Love by Enzoani on the Oscars Red Carpet - February 2011

Love by Enzoani appears to becoming quite a favourite of ITV's Day Break presenter, Kate Garraway!
Covering this years Academy Awards live from the Red Carpet, Kate met with OK! Magazine for a pre-ceremony interview to discuss her wardrobe dilemmas surrounding the event and to have a trying on session in a search to find the perfect dress for the event! Kate looked absolutely fantastic and wore several Love by Enzoani gowns for the photo shoot including B12, MA10 & A11! Kate Garraway wears Love by Enzoani to Charity Ball - February 2011

ITV's Day Break presenter, Kate Garraway attended the Make a Wish foundations annual Valentine's ball, held at The Dorchester, in Mayfair opting for a love by Enzoani gown for the event!  
The 440 attendees at the sell-out event included Ainsley Harriot, actress Sheridan Smith CBeebies star and Make-A-Wish Patron Justin Fletcher MBE, footballer and Make-A-Wish Ambassador John Terry and of course TV presenter Kate Garraway.
The Ball, one of the Make-A-Wish flagship fundraising events of the year, raised a record breaking amount of money which will go towards granting special wishes for the 1,200 brave children, fighting life-threatening illnesses, who will turn to Make-A-Wish this year alone.
Kate, who has a personal connection to the foundation, wore love style B12, & looked absolutely fantastic. The event was later featured in OK! Magazine who covered the event!

                  

 Love by Enzoani at London Fashion Week - February 2011

Some of the most influential fashion designers from all around the globe gathered in London for Fashion Week 18-23rd February to showcase their forthcoming collections. We were thrilled to be able to take the Love by Enzoani 2012 preview collection to headline the closing show! The event was held at London’s infamous “Amika” venue.
Celebrity guests enjoyed the catwalk show over a glass or two of bubbly including Strictly Come Dancing’s Camilla Dallerup, & Beauty Queen Aiasha Gustave who both wore love gowns to the event!
 

 
 
   
 

A New look for Tia by Benjamin Roberts!  February 2011

 
We wanted to offer the ‘bride to be’ a chance to imagine herself getting married in an exotic location such as Marrakech so we chose ‘jewel’ a beautiful bar in Piccadilly, London that had the right ambience

Sam Mann, television presenter from Wedding TV was asked to model for us and with her amazing smile, we hope we’ve achieved the look we wanted. You may recognise Sam, as she is a talented presenter on Wedding TV's "The Wedding Show", has presented on ITV's This Morning, and often frequents the pages of magazines including OK! Magazine.

We asked Claire Pepper, who previously has won the title of Young Fashion Photographer of the Year to do the shoot and with make up artist and hairdresser in tow, we had a fun day.

Karen Taft MD was chief presser, dresser and bottle washer for the day is thrilled with the results.

Tia is a lightweight, easy to wear dress perfect for destination weddings, maybe on a beach with a puddle train. It could also be ideal for a second wedding where a bride might not feel so comfortable in a fussy dress or a civil ceremony where a less dramatic gown is desired. Whatever the wish may be Tia at an average of £750 hits the spot!

Benjamin Roberts wins Wedding Ideas Award!  January 2011

In Februarys' issue of Wedding Ideas, we were absolutely thrilled to have found out we had been nominated for TWO Wedding Ideas Awards!!!
The Wedding ideas awards are the only consumer wedding awards, voted for solely by the readers of Wedding Ideas through an online voting system which received more than 8000 nominations.
The sparkling ceremony was staged on Friday 14th January 2011 at London's Brewery venue, and we were (and still are!) ecstatic to have our "Gorgeous with Curves" collection awarded the title of "Best Plus-Size Collection!"
The Benjamin Roberts range had also been nominated in the "Best Dress Collection" category,
The awards ceremony was hosted by GMTV and National Lottery presenter Jenni Falconer while former X Factor contestant Andy Abraham provided the post awards entertainment! A fantastic day was had by all in celebrating the achievements of all who received nominations! 
Wedding Ideas Advertising Sales Manager, Pippa Ward, looked fantastic at the event wearing our Enzoani gown "Dakota" in black!

2010 saw the first ever Attire Bridal Supplier Awards, where retail readers of the Attire Bridal trade magazine were asked to nominate their favourite suppliers in the bridal industry!
Our Enzoani collection won its' first UK award in the "Best Bridal Collection" category and our Customer Service Representative, Wendy Marston-Phipps wins a "Special Recognition for Customer Service" award.

 Love by Enzoani at the Clothes Show Live - December 2010 

The Clothes Show live, which took place at the NEC in Birmingham on December 3rd-8th 2010, attracted fashionistas from across the UK to marvel in the latest trends that the fashion industry has to offer. 
This year’s “Red Carpet” inspired catwalk was the perfect place to showcase our Love by Enzoani collection, and presented by the gorgeous model & presenter Cat Dal, this was an opportunity that couldn’t be missed!

    

Celebrities in Enzoani gowns feature in OK! Magazine - December 2010 

On 11th November 2010, the Chain of Hope held its Annual Gala Ball.
Over 450 supporters of Chain of Hope came together at the Natural History Museum to raise money for children suffering from life threatening heart disease.
We were delighted to see the talented actress Louisa Lytton & Beauty Queen Aiasha Gustave showing their support at the event while wearing dresses from our stunning Enzoani collections!
Louisa looked stylish in Love style "C18" while Aiasha wore the elegant "Dakota" gown in Black.
We were also very pleased to see the glamorous pair in issue 755 of OK! Magazine.

BRIDES Magazine Christmas Party! - December 2010

On Wednesday 8th December, Managing Director of Benjamin Roberts, Karen Taft and Sales Director George Efstratiou joined BRIDES Magazine in their Christmas celebrations. The lavish affair was held on board the prestigious "Silver Sturgeon." Chic, cool & contemporary, the Silver Sturgeon is the flagship vessel of the Woods' Silver Fleet. Guests wined and dined in pure luxury while the yacht cruised along the Thames.

A fantastic time was had by all! Thank you BRIDES magazine!  

 

Modern Bride Show - November 2010 

November 2010 saw the first ever Modern Bride show, a contemporary wedding show for brides to be. Benjamin Roberts took a range of our dresses to show brides what our stockists can offer them!

The Modern Bride show is the UK's new too-hot-to-miss wedding event. It’s the glamorous, fun, and hassle-free way to find every perfect essential for a unique wedding. It\'s where you\'ll find a great range of hand-picked companies, offering everything for brides who want great style and quality for money with an essential hit of glamour.

The catwalk shows were the highlight of the event where the Benjamin Roberts gowns really stood out from the crowd!

Brides magazine were also in attendance sessions “on the Sofa” which saw experts give advice and style tips to Brides-to-be. The session featured dresses from our Love by Enzoani Collection which can be seen below!
 

                    

After the show we were contacted by bride-to-be Iris Durinovac who had visited us on our stand. Iris fell in love with a Benjamin Roberts gown so much that she couldn’t wait to rush out to buy it!
Iris told us “I was so fascinated…I kept coming back all the time asking you a lot of questions about this dress. It took quite a while for the dress to arrive in the shops in London. As a result, I travelled down to Dorset, where I finally found it at Abbey Brides of Sherborne. I tried it on and bought it straight away!”
Iris gets married in June and we can’t wait to see pictures in her Benjamin Roberts gown on her special day!
 

Benjamin Roberts Stockist wins prestigious award- November 2010

The VOWS awards (VOWS stands for Voted Outstanding Wedding Supplier) recognise companies within Scotland that offer excellent customer service in the Bridal industry.
The awards are voted for by recently wedded couples. In 2010 11,000 nomination votes were cast.

Then a prestigious ceremony took place where over 500 wedding professionals gather to acknowledge outstanding levels of service.

We would like to congratulate one of our stores Opus Couture who have walked away with the esteemed title of Best Bridal Retailer 2010! This is the second time Opus Couture has held the title, having achieved the same status in 2006. Congratulations again!

Underwater Bridal Photo shoot!

When one of our stockists Aliya Rose told us they had been approached by top photographer Jonathan Ryan of WeddingsbyRyan to get involved in a unique and innovative photo-shoot, we were intrigued. The whole shoot took place underwater!

Aliya Rose, of Cupar in Fife, dived straight in at the opportunity to loan Jonathan their Benjamin Roberts 2014 sample gown which is made of tulle and has intricately beautiful beading.

We’re told Aliya Rose weren’t holding their breath on their gown surviving the shoot, but astonishingly enough it did!

Jonathan Ryan and his team of around 10 rented a private pool, and with meticulous planning and skilful photography the results were truly incredible. Here are some of our favourites.

Brides at Work Day - September 2010

The National Wedding Show has launched a new campaign called Brides at Work Day. It took place on September 17th 2010, offering the perfect excuse to wear your wedding dress again while raising money for the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity.
 
With around 46,000 women a year being diagnosed with Breast Cancer, the work of Breakthrough Breast Cancer is invaluable. They have made saving lives their mission, working to change futures through research, campaigning and education.

In addition to the ladies who adorned themselves in their wedding attire for the day, celebs such as The Saturdays’ Una Healy also got involved supporting the cause, and there were plenty of other fundraising opportunities including an exclusive online auction of hand-picked bespoke and limited edition products for those forthcoming weddings.

Benjamin Roberts were very keen to get involved and help such a worthwhile cause and were thrilled to be able to donate a gown to the online auction! The stunning taffeta gown, (style 2031) which is beautifully embellished with crystals, sold for and raised £220 for the important cause which contributed to the auction total of £1,995!

                    

 

Benjamin Roberts donates gown Brides Delight Charity Auction

The charity auction was held for Ward 17 (Anchor Unit) of Aberdeen Royal Hospital

“While Jason was in Ward 17, he eventually got a bed which, when they last bought one, cost £13,000 (about 4 years ago) and it made a huge difference to his comfort.  Obviously the Ward does not have enough of these beds and Jason spoke a lot about doing fundraisers, saying it would be wonderful if we could raise enough to buy one.  Jason spent a lot of time on Ward 17 and the staff were terrific, it\'s just a shame their resources don't stretch to better patient comfort. 
 
On 7th August 2010, family, friends and colleagues of Jason attended a golf memorial day and we held a disco in the evening at which we held an auction, had a singing competition and sold raffles.  When organizing the auction we were overwhelmed by the generosity of prize donators like Benjamin Roberts and it's thanks to their kindness that the night was such a success.  We raised a massive £8,000 overall and are well on our way to buying a bed.  I know Jason would have been delighted with this total, as am I.  Once again, I can't thank Benjamin Roberts enough for their generosity.”   Leanne Gallacher

ENZOANI on the Catwalk at Modatex! - July 2010

Enzoani dresses recently featured on the catwalks at the Modatex show. For bridal retailers and buyers, the Modatex Fashion Fair, which was staged in Essen, Germany, from 3 until 6 July 2010, is the unique inspiration source for the bridal industry.

Hopefully by now you will be aware that for this September's BBEH we will be moving to The Cairn Hotel (just up the road from the George Hotel) so don’t panic if you don’t see us in the show guide! We’re still here!
